Remember When...? My Encounter with the Architecture of Old Hull

This virtual exhibition takes visitors on a fascinating journey through time, showing how the face of Gatineau’s oldest area has changed over the years.

Through sixty photos of houses, businesses, factories and public buildings the exhibition showcases the variety of styles, and the mix of old and new, that is distinct to the architecture of old Hull.

Remember When...? has been made possible through an initiative by Harry Foster, a former photographer for the Canadian Museum of History. Foster, who took a personal interest in the architecture of old Hull, took the photos and was the project leader.

This Web module has been developed in partnership with the City of Gatineau.
