The William James Roué Collection

William James Roué (1879-1970) was one of Canada’s most prominent naval architects. His most famous accomplishment, the legendary 1921 schooner Bluenose, gained global recognition and has become a symbol of Nova Scotia and of Canada.

Some artifacts from this collection, along with the story of Bluenose and William Roué, will be part of the new Canadian History Hall, which will open on July 1, 2017.
