Clyde C. Kennedy (1919–1987)

He is best known for his impressive Archaic Period discoveries near Pembroke, Ontario. Several artifacts from that site are displayed here. He also undertook many extensive surveys and excavations of sites in the middle Ottawa Valley region.

Born in Trail, British Columbia

Long career with Atomic Energy of Canada in Chalk River

Very active in Ottawa Valley heritage communities and a founding member of the Ottawa chapter of the Ontario Archaeological Society

Received several awards for his heritage work locally, provincially, nationally and internationally, including the J. Norman Emerson Award from the Ontario Archaeological Society
