Maggie Muggins (1947-1962)

"Maggie Muggins" was the creation of Fredericton-born teacher, writer and storyteller Mary Grannan. In the 1940s, Maggie's imaginary adventures were featured in the popular radio series Maggie Muggins. By the 1950s, Maggie had made the successful leap to television and entertained a new generation of children.
Fast Fact:
Actresses Deanne Taylor and Mary Long didn't have freckles. A makeup artist painted freckles on their faces for the part of Maggie Muggins.
Cast:
Maggie Muggins and friend Mr. McGarrity were portrayed at different times by Beth Morris and John Drainie, Deanne Taylor and Frank Peddie, and Mary Long and Doug Master. Meadow friends Fitzgerald Fieldmouse, Grandmother Frog and Reuben Rabbit were built and operated by John and Linda Keogh.
