The Drents Museum

The Drents Museum, founded in 1854, is one of the most popular museums in the northern Netherlands, attracting 70,000 visitors annually. Its mission is simple: to please the public. This seems a rather obvious operating principle, but is somewhat surprising for a museum with such a long history. Although famous as an archaeological museum, the Drents Museum now has very diverse collections.
